[W]ithin Europe itself… institutions pursue the systematic dismantling of their own domestic fossil fuel capacities. The result is not environmental salvation. It is an engineered dependency that can only delight oil producers such as Russia. Households face increasingly high energy bills that contribute to widespread energy poverty. Official EU figures show that roughly 9-10% of the population, more than 40 million people, struggle to heat their homes.

Let us begin with the most basic question EU policymakers refuse to answer: to whom exactly do they intend to hand this Palestinian state? To the Palestinian Authority, widely viewed, even by its own people, as “irredeemably corrupt,” terrorist, repressive, and illegitimate, and committed to displacing Israel? Or to Hamas, an internationally designated terrorist organization openly committed to Israel’s destruction?

[M]any in the West who sympathize with Islamic terrorists were, within hours, trying to justify Hamas’s atrocities by blaming Israel. The allegations against Israel were that it was denying supposed rights of an invented Palestinian people that “does not exist,” as admitted by senior PLO official Zoheir Mohsen in 1977 in the Dutch daily newspaper Trouw. They nevertheless repeat spurious claims to the Jews’ ancestral land, on which Jews have lived continuously for nearly 4,000 years, explicitly named “Judea,” and to the failure by Israel to implement what — according to the Palestinians themselves — would be a “two-state solution” dedicated to taking whatever land they can get and using it as a base from which to conquer the rest.
