But there are preconditions: A leader must be well-thought-of, committed to his wife, cool and collected, accessible, and hospitable. He must know what he\u2019s talking about, not be overfond of wine, not pushy but gentle, not thin-skinned, not money-hungry.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>He must handle his own affairs well, attentive to his own children and having their respect. For if someone is unable to handle his own affairs, how can he take care of God\u2019s church? He must not be a new believer, lest the position go to his head and the Devil trip him up. Outsiders must think well of him, or else the Devil will figure out a way to lure him into his trap. The same goes for those who want to be servants in the church: serious, not deceitful, not too free with the bottle, not in it for what they can get out of it. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>They must be reverent before the mystery of the faith, not using their position to try to run things. Let them prove themselves first. If they show they can do it, take them on. No exceptions are to be made for women\u2014same qualifications: serious, dependable, not sharp-tongued, not overfond of wine. Servants in the church are to be committed to their spouses, attentive to their own children, and diligent in looking after their own affairs. Those who do this servant work will come to be highly respected, a real credit to this Jesus-faith.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Ephesians 5:23-25<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em><sup>23\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><em>For\u00a0the\u00a0husband\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0head\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0wife\u00a0even\u00a0as\u00a0Christ\u00a0is\u00a0the\u00a0head\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0church,\u00a0his\u00a0body,\u00a0and\u00a0is\u00a0himself\u00a0its\u00a0Savior.<\/em><em>\u00a0<\/em><em><sup><span data-ref=\"49005024\" data-last-offset=\"17\">24\u00a0<\/span><\/sup><\/em><em>Now as the church submits to Chris, so also wives should submit in everything to their husbands.<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span data-ref=\"49005025\" data-last-offset=\"15\"><em><sup>25\u00a0<\/sup><\/em><em>Husbands,\u00a0love\u00a0your\u00a0wives,\u00a0as\u00a0Christ\u00a0loved\u00a0the\u00a0church\u00a0and\u00a0gave\u00a0himself\u00a0up\u00a0for\u00a0her,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong><em>Isaiah 4:1<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>And seven women shall take hold of one man in that day, saying, \u201cWe will eat our own bread and wear our own clothes, only let us be called by your name; take away our reproach.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ff00ff;\"><em>egretnewseditor@gmail.com\u00a0<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>1 Timothy 3:1-12 If anyone wants to provide leadership in the church, good!
