There is too much wrong with his story and <\/span><\/span>the only evidence he presented has been proven to be false. Allegedly, Enrico Fermi and <\/span><\/span><\/span>Werner Von Braun hel<\/span><\/span>ped him build it. The article I found on the subject also claims that the <\/span><\/span>Vatican banned time travel in 1988, saying anyone using such a device would be <\/span><\/span>excommunicated. I cannot find record of such a decree, so I cannot say definitively if such a <\/span><\/span>decree wa<\/span><\/span>s ever made. I’ll post a link to the article talking about the alleged time machine<\/span><\/span>. <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

the Chronovisor.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
The Chronovisor is said to be a device that gives the user the <\/span><\/span>ability to see throu<\/span><\/span>gh time. Though the existence of the<\/span><\/span>
Chronovisor has never been proven, a 2002 book by Vatican <\/span><\/span>priest Father Fran\u00e7ois Brune says otherwise. <\/span><\/span>According to Brune, the Chronovisor was developed by Father <\/span><\/span>Pellegrino Ernetti, a Benedictine monk.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
Ernetti alleged<\/span><\/span>ly kept the device secret until the early 1960s when <\/span><\/span>he confided in Brune and told him that 12 scientists, including <\/span><\/span>famed physicist Enrico Fermi and former Nazi scientist<\/span><\/span><\/span> Wernhe<\/span>r <\/span>von Braun<\/span><\/span>, helped him to build it.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span>The Chronovisor Was Allegedly Built By A Nobel Prize <\/span><\/span>Winner And A NASA Engineer <\/span><\/span>Enrico Fermi, who allegedly helped build the Chronovisor, won the Nobel Prize in physics in <\/span><\/span>1938<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

In it, Brune explains how <\/span><\/span>he met Father Ernetti on a boat ride<\/span><\/span><\/span> across Venice\u2019s Grand Canal <\/span><\/span>in the early 1960s. Like Brune, Ernetti was well<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>versed in the <\/span><\/span>history of ancient languages, which made for natural <\/span><\/span>conversation. <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n

But soon, Ernetti directed their chat toward science. <\/span><\/span>Brune had been expounding on the many ways<\/span><\/span> in which the<\/span><\/span>
Christian Bible could be interpreted when Ernetti suggested that <\/span><\/span>he had access to the truth via a time<\/span><\/span>–<\/span><\/span>traveling device.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
Ernetti<\/span><\/span><\/span> claimed<\/span><\/span> that he and a group of renowned scientists came <\/span>together in a mutual quest to uncover the past. One scientist was <\/span>Fermi, who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1938, and another <\/span>was the ex<\/span>–<\/span>Nazi von Braun, whose work at NASA got America to <\/span>the moon.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
Accord<\/span><\/span>ing to Ernetti, the device had several antennae, three of <\/span><\/span>which were made of \u201cmysterious\u201d metals that picked up sound <\/span><\/span>and lightwaves across their entire respective spectrums.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

<\/span>The Device Supposedly Revealed The Bible\u2019s Most <\/span><\/span>Important Moments <\/span><\/span>Ernetti recounted how he witnessed Marcus Tullius Cicero\u2019s <\/span><\/span>speech to the Roman senate in 63 B.C. \u201cHis gestures<\/span><\/span>, his <\/span><\/span>intonation,\u201d Ernetti effused. \u201cHow powerful they were! What flights <\/span><\/span>of oratory.\u201d Ernetti made additional, increasingly bolder claims, <\/span><\/span>such as having observed the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
From the founding of the Roman Empire to the destruction of <\/span><\/span>Sodom and Gomorrah, Ernetti alleged that he and his team had <\/span><\/span>taken a peek into some of the most important events in the Bible.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
On May 2, 1972, an Italian publication called<\/span><\/span><\/span> La Domenica del <\/span><\/span>Corriere<\/span><\/span><\/span> published his claim. Titled \u201cA Machine That Photographs.<\/span><\/span>T<\/span><\/span>he Past Has Finally Been Invented,\u201d the article covered Ernetti\u2019s <\/span><\/span>shocking statements for all of Italy to read.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
Alongside the admittedly dubious claims, the magazine published <\/span><\/span>an alleged photograph from the Chronovisor that Ernetti claimed <\/span><\/span>captured the Rom<\/span><\/span>ans crucifying Jesus Christ. The 1972 article <\/span><\/span>also purported that Ernetti had witnessed the Last Supper and <\/span><\/span>kept a photograph of the Biblical event for himself as a souvenir.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
Ernetti<\/span><\/span><\/span> maintained<\/span><\/span> until his death in 1994 that the machine had <\/span>been hidden away by the Vatican in order to safeguard it from <\/span>falling into the wrong hands. Interestingly, the Vatican decreed in <\/span>1988 that \u201canyone using an instrument of such characteristi<\/span>cs <\/span>would be excommunicated.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/span>

The piece questioned why Ernetti hadn\u2019t published <\/span>detailed instructions on how to build the device in order<\/span> to <\/span>legitimize his claims.
