It is key to all of Southwest Asia \u2013 just 400 miles to China and 500 miles to Iran. It is a vitally important geopolitical, military and intelligence platform with consequences and &#8220;reach&#8221; that involve far more than just Afghan regional matters. Who, specifically, made the recommendation to just walk away from Bagram \u2013 and then who gave the order?<\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<li>\n<h6>If we suggest that there is a combination or passing alliance of these various interests and groups, each seeking to advance their own agenda behind the official, hollow, front of &#8220;President Joe Biden&#8221; \u2013 then we run the risk of being branded conspiracy theorists. That is both dishonest and unfortunate, because asking questions of, and seeking accountability from, elected officials is not &#8220;crazy.&#8221; Interest groups do, in fact, lobby presidential advisors, White House staff, and even members of the president&#8217;s family.We must press on \u2013 asking questions, examining records, seeking accountability and documenting facts. The truth will prevail.<\/h6>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">One thing <\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2021\/06\/18\/joe-biden-urged-take-mental-cognition-test-14-house-republicans\/7743927002\/\">appears certain<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">: It is not President Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. He gives\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/09\/09\/joe-bidens-incoherent-fear-mongering-covid-vaccine-speech\/\">incoherent<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">,\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"https:\/\/redstate.com\/kiradavis\/2021\/05\/24\/watch-joe-biden-completely-devolves-into-rambling-incoherence-in-yet-another-appearance-n385753\">rambling<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0speeches, and often\u00a0<\/span><a style=\"font-size: 16px;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolitics.com\/video\/2021\/08\/29\/biden_im_not_supposed_to_take_any_questions.html\">declines to take questions<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">.<\/span>The question has been asked dozens of different ways, depending on the questioner and the public policy issue. &#8220;Who is controlling the Biden presidency?&#8221;<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">A May 2021 powder-puff\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/biden-daily-routine-gatorade\/2021\/05\/23\/b6f608c2-b40e-11eb-a3b5-f994536fe84a_story.html\">profile<\/a>\u00a0of President Biden in the\u00a0<em>Washington Post<\/em>\u00a0was written as both a hagiography and a politically therapeutic assurance that there&#8217;s been a &#8220;return to normalcy&#8221; in the White House. The article&#8217;s author, Ashley Parker, was clearly given extraordinary access to personal details by White House staff and Biden handlers in order to compose her report. The resulting article is an interesting mix of Ms. Parker taking careful dictation from the White House, and her own ambition to pledge allegiance to the larger Biden &#8220;family.&#8221; In fairness, here is how Ms. Parker describes the sourcing of her article:<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;This account of Biden&#8217;s daily schedule is based on interviews with seven people familiar with the president&#8217;s daily life, most speaking on the condition of anonymity to disclose private details.&#8221;<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is genuine journalistic value in Ms. Parker&#8217;s work \u2013 and a mere four (+) months later \u2013 given the lightning fast and tumultuous downturn in the Biden presidency, 20\/20 hindsight and review of her article may help answer our question: &#8220;Who is controlling the Biden presidency?&#8221;<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Ms. Parker&#8217;s article offers clues:<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">On many days, Biden then summons his brain trust, including Klain and top advisers Mike Donilon, Anita Dunn, Bruce Reed, Steve Ricchetti and Cedric L. Richmond. These sessions rarely have a formal agenda; Biden simply declares, &#8220;Here&#8217;s what I want to talk about,&#8221; or the aides raise subjects they have discussed in advance for Biden&#8217;s consideration.<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8220;There are very few issues that get to the level of the president,&#8221; Dunn said. &#8220;Those are the ones that only he can make a decision on.&#8221;<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">Donilon, who has been with Biden for decades, is seen by the others as his conscience, alter ego and shared brain. One longtime Biden adviser estimated that no fewer than 10,000 times in their working relationship has the president turned to Donilon and asked, &#8220;Mike, what do you think?&#8221;<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">The closest Ms. Parker comes to addressing other influencers of the Biden presidency is passing reference to President Biden&#8217;s son, Hunter. She writes: &#8220;He also calls his son Hunter, who has struggled with addiction,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-addiction-presidency\/2021\/04\/17\/d31c1624-9d37-11eb-8005-bffc3a39f6d3_story.html\">every night<\/a>\u00a0before bedtime, texting him if he doesn&#8217;t pick up right away.&#8221;<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">One thing Ms. Parker does not mention: Federal prosecutors are currently investigating Hunter Biden over details related to the extraordinary sums of money he purportedly earned from China-related business deals. Readers will recall that Hunter Biden\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/10\/10\/6-facts-about-hunter-bidens-business-dealings-in-china\/\">profited<\/a>\u00a0from two separate deals, each worth billions of dollars, with Communist Chinese &#8220;business&#8221; entities during the time his father was vice president. Reports on\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-china-email-source-verifies\">Hunter Biden&#8217;s email<\/a>\u00a0communications indicate that (in just one instance) remuneration plans of 10% of the value of a Chinese energy company deals were earmarked for &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thesun.co.uk\/news\/12952604\/source-claims-joe-biden-is-big-guy-in-hunter-emails-leak\/\">The Big Guy<\/a>&#8221; \u2013 possibly indicating then-VP Joe Biden.<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">We have the extraordinary (and outrageously\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/article\/inside-the-life-of-hunter-biden-joe-bidens-scandal-plagued-son\/\">scandalous<\/a>) story of Hunter Biden and his deep Biden family\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.grassley.senate.gov\/news\/news-releases\/grassley-johnson-release-supplement-report-potential-conflicts-interest-stemming\">financial ties<\/a>. Air travel records, alone, document the deep connections between the president and Hunter. The air travel records also offer an investigative roadmap for any serious law enforcement officials seeking to examine questions of Biden corruption. More than 330,000 Americans have\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.change.org\/p\/department-of-justice-doj-must-appoint-a-special-counsel-to-investigate-evidence-of-joe-biden-corruption\">demanded<\/a>\u00a0just such an investigation from the Department of Justice. The information and emails contained in the Hunter Biden laptops\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/10\/14\/new-emails-show-joe-biden-lied-about-his-knowledge-of-his-sons-foreign-business-interests\/\">reportedly<\/a>\u00a0detail President Biden&#8217;s knowledgeability of his son&#8217;s overseas business dealings.<\/h6>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: justify;\">We have documentation and details of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/news.bloomberglaw.com\/us-law-week\/biden-names-white-house-counsel-as-new-staff-starts-taking-shape\">key influencers<\/a>\u00a0around President Biden. The left enjoys sensationalizing and marginalizing their political opponents by leveraging pejoratives,\u00a0<em>ad hominem<\/em>\u00a0and cartoonish simplistic derision to undermine legitimate questions and concerns. We must not take their insidious tactics to heart. We must press on \u2013 asking questions, examining records, seeking accountability and documenting facts.
